[ Out of Topic ] End The Hate

Heute habe ich ein Gedicht gefunden, dass ich gerne mit Euch teilen wollte:

End the Hate

I was walking with my husband,
During the month of May.
His name is Bobby,
And I'm Adam Galloway.

We were holding hands,
We were happy as can be;
And then we met a stranger,
And he said to me:

"Look here at the faggots!
You're ruining my path!
I hate you gay ass fuckers,
Now you'll feel my wrath!"

The man pulled out a gun,
He aimed it at my head;
Bobby jumped in front of me -
Poor Bobby is now dead.

I caught his falling body,
As the stranger ran away.
I lost the love of my life,
All because we're gay.

He risked his life for me,
For Adam Galloway.
His name is Bobby G.
He died for being gay...

I was eating with my wife,
We were on a date.
Her name is Sarah,
My name is Deven Kate.

We got kicked out for kissing,
So we approached our car;
And what we both had seen,
Was pretty bizzare.

Our tires had been popped,
Our windows had been smashed,
The back seat was on fire;
So we both had dashed.

We didn't get that far,
When a girl got in our way;
She said to us, "Now burn!
"We don't want to catch your 'Gay'!"

She had a lot of friends,
Who grabbed my wife and I;
They threw us in our car,
They left us there to die.

Of course, the car exploded;
And now we're both in heaven.
God loves my wife and me,
He loves Sarah and Deven.

I was talking to my boyfriend,
While we were both at school.
His name is Richard Tucker,
And I am Michael Stool.

We were minding our own business;
When kids came up to us.
They were yelling and screaming,
They started to cuss.

Ricky lost his temper,
Told them to go away;
One kid then said to us,
"Go die you fucking Gay!"

The kids at last had left,
Ricky was in tears.
Said, "I'm sick of all these bullies,
"It's been to many years!"

I tried to make him smile,
Tried to help him mend;
And after several hours,
School came to an end.

Ricky had went home,
He texted me that night.
He said, "I'm sorry Mikey,
"I can't keep up this fight!"

He said, "I really love you,
"Please do not forget.
"I am glad you've been my boyfriend,
"I am glad we've met."

I ran over to his house,
But I was way to late.
I lost Richard Tucker,
Because of all the hate.

I was with my girlfriend,
We were hanging at her place.
Her name is Xena Wilcox,
And I am Judy Grace.

Her mother saw us kissing,
She shouted, "You disgrace!"
She said to me, "Get out!
"I don't want to see your face!"

I left and then the next day,
Xena said in tears:
"My mother beat me last night...
Then cut me with kitchen shears..."

"She then called my father....
"My mouth was tightly taped,
"She then watched and yelled,
"As I was getting raped..."

"They said I am a sinner...
"Said I will go to Hell...
"They said they are ashamed,
"And that no one I can tell..."

"I don't want them to hate me...
"I want God to take me back...
"I can't take another punishment....
"I don't want another smack..."

"So I am sorry Judy,
"But now we have to split.
"We can't continue dating,
"My parents will have a fit..."

Her parents were both homophobes,
They thought she was a sin.
They punished her so brutally,
Left marks upon her skin.

I never saw her again,
For she had moved away.
Her name was Xena Wilcox,
She was punished for being gay.

These were a few short stories,
About the pain people are in.
Living in fear everyday,
Hiding back a grin.

Love is a precious thing,
Whether gay or bi or straight;
So lets try and stop this pain!
Let us end all this hate!

Be proud of who you are!
In the end we are all people!
We all have rights to be ourselves!
We deserve to all be equal!

Everyone now, open your eyes;
Please don't make a fuss:
Look at your neighbor, friend, and family;
And see they're all just like us!

"Being gay isn't natural!!!"
You know what else isn't natural? That phone in your hand, your house, your car, everything you own.
And there is tons of homosexuality in nature - Especially with bats, penguins, and monkeys.

"The Bible says it's a sin!!"
So is wearing mixed fabrics, eating shellfish or fat, and being naked in your own house...

"Being gay is a choice!!"
Do you choose to love someone? Did you choose to be straight?

"Being gay is an illness!!"
Then how could you hate it? That's like saying it's okay to hate someone with cancer, or a mental disorder.

What if your best friend, sibling, or even one of your parents came out as being gay?

Would you still let someone beat the shit out of them on the street?
Would you just watch their whole life go down the drain and feel happy about it?
Would you kill them?

Just some things to think about...

  1. Hallo,

    ein sehr schönes und berührendes Gedicht, das aber leider auch darauf hinweist, dass es leider immer noch viele Schattenseiten in unserer Gesellschaft gibt.
